Plan by addresses, not city names
Saying a supplier is in Shenzhen or Dongguan is not enough. The exact district and building location can change the route significantly.
Before confirming meetings, collect full addresses in Chinese and English when possible, plus contact names and phone numbers.
Match transport to the business schedule
High-speed rail, private car, taxi and metro can all be useful in different situations. The best option depends on timing, luggage, distance and how many meetings are planned.
A route with three suppliers may look efficient on paper but become unrealistic if each meeting runs long.
Leave buffer for real business work
Business visits need time for introductions, product review, questions, photos and follow-up notes. Transport planning should protect that time.
Local support can help adjust the schedule when suppliers change times or traffic becomes difficult.
