Start with product priorities
Before visiting markets, define the product category, target price range, expected quality, packaging needs and whether you need stock or customization.
This helps choose the right market zones and prevents the day from becoming a long walk with too many unrelated options.
Ask supplier questions while interest is fresh
When you find a possible product, ask about MOQ, sample availability, packaging, lead time, export experience and whether the supplier can support repeat orders.
Photos and notes should be organized immediately, because many booths can look similar by the end of the day.
Use the market visit as the first filter
A market visit is useful for discovery, comparison and shortlisting. It should not replace deeper supplier verification when the order becomes serious.
After the visit, the best suppliers can be followed up with quotations, samples or factory-level checks.
